the children are the future.
Education is a great thing. Kids spend most of the time they’re awake in school to “get an education.” As parents, we feel it’s our duties to encourgage them to do so. But could the public school system be doing more harm than good? I think so. That’s why I decided to teach my daughter with Ron Paul’s Homeschool Curriculum.
I trust and admire Ron Paul, as he has greatly influenced my thinking and view of politics. Ron Paul has probably done more for the liberty movement than anyone else. That’s one of the main reasons I can wholeheartedly recommend his curriculum for a good education.
What’s Wrong With The School System?
If you’re like most people, you probably think that kids need to go to school to get a good education. Or you think that kids at least need the social aspect. But the truth is that public schools aren’t the best place for kids to get an education of socialize with other kids. I don’t know where we all got the idea that the public school system has a monopoly on education (though we probably “learned” that in school), but it’s far from the truth.
We learn through our everyday experience. Learning is a part of living life. We don’t learn from sitting in a chair being lectured on about things we could care less about. We learn naturally from things we’re interested in. In fact, I learned much more on my own after I graduated than when I was forced to go to school every day. And I’m not just talking about learning about subjects that aren’t taught in school, I’m talking about learning about subjects that are taught in school. I’ve learned more about government, history, economics, and much more now that I have the free time to learn about whatever interests me at that time. That’s one of the reasons why we were not only considering homeschooling our daughter, but even unschooling her. Unschooling is even more radical than homeschooling, because unschooling doesn’t have any set curriculum. But that’s another story.
I go on and on about what’s wrong with the school system, and I will in future posts, but since this post is focused on Ron Paul’s Homeschool Curriculum I’ll just summarize a few key points.
10 Things Wrong With The School System
- Teaches to blindly obey authority
- Doesn’t teach many essential things
- Slanted education is more like propaganda
- Students lose freedom
- Drugs are pushed on kids
- Vaccines are pushed on kids
- Glorified indoctrination camps
- Manufacturing plant of employees
Why Ron Paul’s Cirriculum Is Great
Ron Paul’s Cirriculum doesn’t suffer from the things wrong with the school system listed above. It even correctly addresses several of the problems and provides a solution. For example, history and economics are both taught from a different perspective. I think the way they’re taught is crucial for our country to get back to being in a free state.
Ron Paul’s Cirriculum teaches kids skills they need to thrive in today’s environment. Public schools are outdated, while Ron Paul’s Cirriculum teaches kids how to start their on WordPress blog and to produce and upload their own videos on Youtube. I believe these skills are essential going into the future.
There are far too many reasons to list why parents should opt out of the public school system, but here’s 26 reasons to adopt Ron Paul’s Curriculum.

My Experience With The Ron Paul Curriculum
As of writing this, my daughter is only 5 years old so our experience with Ron Paul’s Homeschool Curriculum is limited. But since I’m recommending it, I feel I have to give my own real world experience for full transparency. I will continue to update this post as time goes by and I have more feedback to give.
From what I can tell, the curriculum is geared more towards older kids. It’s designed to be self-taught from the 4th grade on. That means parents will need to help younger students with the curriculum, which is fine and understandable. But there’s really not a lot of content on the site for kids that are very young. And what is on there is free for everyone so there’s not a huge incentive for kids in preschool or kindergarten to sign up for Ron Paul’s Homeschool Curriculum. With that being said, it still has been useful and I’d definitely recommend it for older kids. If your kids are near preschool age and are just now learning math and reading, check out the free beginners courses and start there. Then, once you’re done with that, sign up for Ron Paul’s Homeschool Curriculum.
